An End To the Death Penalty?

In defense of yesterday's veto of stem cell research expansion, whitehouse spokeman Tony Snow said that the president "doesn't want human life destroyed." He added that "it's inappropriate for the federal government to finance something that many people consider murder."

There are a number of things that the federal government backs that I consider murder, the first being the death penalty. The second being an illegal war in Iraq. Does this mean he will try and end them? Don't hold your breath.
