Not Gonna Feed The Trolls

Ok, Ok. I hear you Craig and Rob. I get it. That's not what I want in my life chest anyway. It is depressing, unfullfilling and leaves me feeling...violated. There are plenty of good places to carry out a reasonable debate. I have enjoyed the chat over at Craigs, it much more challenging. Believe it or not, I am not the type of person that thrives on conflict and disagreement anyway. Point is, I am not feeding the trolls anymore. Not as me, not as an anonymous poster. That's all.

Heh.

It's still fun to do on occasion.

Well, that is exactly what we set up the debate forum for, debate that is worth something and actually makes people satisfied, not violated.

This is OT, Shane, but it was a pleasure meeting you, your lovely wife, and your beautiful daughters!

Are you trolling my blog with OT coments???

Seriously, it was a pleasure meeting you and visiting with your family. The kids had a great time. We will certainly have to do it again sometime very soon.

I enjoy WRIM - is that what you are talking about? Those guys won't come play over here - they always get bloodied, I think. So I go there. And sometimes get bloodied.

But they are normally easy, and that is why it is fun.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, eh Mark?

Good for you Shane!

I get plenty of conservative debate in my real life, but they aren't mean spirited people or idiots so I don't walk away feeling like I need a shower and a good case of amnesia.

Now Craig, you should know, I go to all the right places, including your house. You're not that tough either.

Mark T,

In all seriousness. Fighting with jlw3mt and his ilk is very much like the famous turd story that Craig hooked us up with. I am pasting it here for posterity, but am subbing some words.

Exactly! WRiM is that dog turd in the yard that's got the hardened shell from sitting in the sun too long. It's nasty at this point but you just think you know how nasty it can be. If you go back and poke it with a stick you're going to be regretting it for a long time to come. Then you'll break the seal and release the world of nasty hidden within.

Unfortunately no matter how nasty that dog turd in the yard is there's always some dumb mutt that will eat it. That's what the unapologetic fanatical core of WRiM has become. They're like that stupid dog on your street that eats shit. Nobody will let it near them for fear that it might try to lick them.

Neither are you, Mark.

Heck, knowing where you lie on the political spectrum, I could probably write your replies for you; save you some trouble.

Oh, have at it Craig. You know us lefties - can't think and walk and chew bubble gum. We don't want your wisdom - we literally need it.

Craig - when I was a kid, we lived by the dog pound, and I liked running a stick along the cages to hear them all bark. That's my particular pathology - I love to hear them bark, all at once.

Hey - you're a fine one to lecture here you know - your car has been parked over there at night for the past two months. Tell me now that it's a bad place to go?

JLW3MT is the best of a bad lot - if you are not too pissy with him, he does put up some wisdom. And there are a couple of anonymous posters over there who blow me away now and then.

But you're right, I've got to quit. I will. Next week.

Oops - those comments were to be directed at Shane, except the first paragraph.

Gosh, your a mean one! :)

It is a bad place for me to go, and most of humanity. If you can stomach it, then have at it. I can not. I am still unclear if it is better to to leave them alone or not. I have a feeling that if we all left them alone they would wither.
