Notes From Around My House

Two things I want to tell you about. Our cat and our Christmas tree. Though you can conjure up stories involving both a cat and a Christmas tree, these are separate points.

1. The Tree. We have a very nice fake tree. This is our first Christmas in this house and we got a surprise when we tried to put the tree up this weekend. Well, we have a 7 foot tree and 7 foot ceilings. Nice fit? Indeed. Where do you put the star? Well, you don't.

2. The cat. I was rather pleased recently when I learned that our cat had figured out how to open the door. 'Sweet' thought I 'I wont have to let him out anymore'. The problem? Well, while cats sometimes learn to open doors they seldom learn to close them.

I'm kinda glad they don't know how to open the door though :)

Nah, nothing that fancy. My door closes but does not latch until you 'push' on it (like when we lock up at night). So, he does some major pawing on it.

Watched Sabine do the same thing the other night, she worked at it until it finally came open. I was amazed and terrified at the same time! Ha!
